M901 the Casa Grande Detachment #901 of the Marine Corps League is a 501 (c) (4) non-profit organization chartered by Congress, with numerous missions we accomplish in Pinal County. One of our favorite missions is to get connected with Marines and their families. We find that the more we are out in the community, fundraising, or supporting causes like Toys for Tots, we meet many of our fellow Marines. Check us out here and on FaceBook for our schedule of events and come by and check us out.
There are a couple ways one can join the League. If you are a Marine you are eligible for full membership. Follow the link to the right to download the PDF application. Fill it out and bring to our next meeting along with your DD-214. If you were not a Marine, but believe in our core values and wish to help us in our endeavors, you are eligible to become an associate member. Like a full member, you would fill out the form, but are not required to show a DD-214 when you come to the meeting. The primary differences between a full and an associate member is that only full members may vote or hold an elected office. Both may become life members at any time and it represents a substantial savings over annual membership dues.
M901 meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 1900. We begin promptly at 1900 so please plan accordingly. The meeting is held at the American Legion: 713 N Park Ave, Casa Grande, AZ 85122. We do our best to limit meetings to an hour, and then we often hang out for a bit on a social level. Once you have become a member the expectation is that you will actively participate in as many of our numerous activities as possible.
Right now during December our focus of effort is Toys for Tots. Once again we are working along side the Pinal County Toys for Tots Coordinator, (an associate member of M901), and her team, as we endeavor to ensure that “every child in Pinal County has a little Christmas.” We will be present at two collection sites, the Walmart in Casa Grande and the one in Coolidge. We will be supervising the MC-JROTC Cadets and providing information to the general public about the program. There are also opportunities to assist with both sorting and distribution of toys. There are plenty of opportunities to serve, so don’t delay,
We are always trying to connect with fellow Marines in the area, whether they wish to join the league or not. We do our best to keep abreast of Marine activities and events throughout Arizona. Our goal is that our web presence will become your best resource for information on all things Marine going forward. If you have visibility on any events you do not see listed, don’t hesitate to send us an email about it so we can hang it on our website and on FaceBook page.
For more information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 520-344-0447 anytime. This is a Google Voice number and is always assigned to an M901 officer who will pick up or quickly return your call. We look forward to hearing from you, meeting with you soon, and adding you to the team.
